Tips in Becoming a Commuting Traveler

Nowadays, you always would like to save every penny from your pocket or wallet. Also, some of us would like to discover what world can offer us. We always can’t afford booking first class, getting luxurious accommodations and tour packages and not everyone of us has cars to take us where we want to be. Simple solution, travel by commuting though it will be sometimes a hassle and time consuming. I will be providing you tips or things that you should expect if you are a commuting traveler.

Commuting in Bohol

1.       Don’t be “Maarte”. Buses can either be airconditioned or not, big or small, some have seats that are really comfy but some don’t have. Just enjoy the ride. Think about this way, once it’s over you’ll get to your destination.

2.       Travel Light. Don’t bring too much of your things as if you are to bring your whole cabinet. Count the number of days that you’ll be out for travel and bring only enough clothes. You don’t want to bring your jewelries or any things that are valuable to you and have sentimental values.

3.       Bring a Tent. Camping out is always better than renting a room or booking in a hotel. It will be a great experience with nature plus you’ll get to save a lot. Make sure to bring your portable cooking utensils, or if you have a contact (usually the locals) before going to your destination, ask if you can borrow some cooking utensils. It can save you space and effort in bringing those.

4.       Always Bring Water with You. When commuting, you don’t want to get dehydrated. Make sure to bring a bottle of water. Use a bottle or a tumbler that you can refill in fast food chains or any places where you can ask with.

5.       Know your Drop Offs. It’s important that you know where to get off the bus or the cab. If it’s your first time make sure to ask all possible people that you can ask from before you go to such place so you are prepared. Usually for remote areas, you will need to have a few rides or a long walk.

6.       Have an Optimistic Mind. Always be positive. You might struggle sometimes, but always keep in mind that there’s a solution for that, or a plan B. You don’t want to travel with negative thoughts. Remember, law of attraction – you think negative, outcome turns negative.

I hope this will help you out in your new adventure. Don’t forget number 6! Have a nice trip! Let me know if you have questions or suggestions.
